Missouri Cattlemen's Association Calls for Nominations

The Missouri Cattlemen's Association will award multiple cattleman at the 2019 Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show Jan. 10-12 in Columbia for their dedication and innovation within the cattle industry. MCA is asking for nominations and applications for the following awards.
Awards for Excellence: Four awards are given out each year to honor the excellence exhibited by county affiliates. These awards are given in the areas of Overall Affiliate, Overall Affiliate Runner Up, Outstanding Affiliate Activity/Event, and Outstanding Affiliate Beef Promotion. County affiliates are encouraged to submit applications that outline the hard work put in each year in several categories including Youth, Fundraising, and Legislative activities. Points will be given for activities taking place October 1, 2018 - September 30, 2019 and each event, activity or program may be counted only once. Applications are due Dec. 1.
Industry Leader Awards
Nominations are now being accepted for the Industry Leader Awards. These awards include the Pioneer Award, Allied Industry Award and the Cattleman of the Year. Each of these awards recognize an individual involved in Missouri agriculture that have gone above and beyond what is asked of them. You will find a brief description of each award below for clarification on the distinction between each award. Nominations for these awards should be sent to MCA staff with the individuals name and why you believe they should win the award. We ask that Industry Leader Award nominations be submitted by Dec. 1.
Pioneer: This award is presented to an individual who has been a corner-post for not only the state's beef industry but the Missouri Cattlemen's Association. This is truly a lifetime achievement award and is the highest honor given by the association. This award is reserved for individuals who have dedicated enormous effort and dedication to advancing Missouri's cattle industry.
Cattleman of the Year: This award is presented to someone who has been an important part of MCA for the past year. It could have been exemplified through their volunteerism or their ability to make MCA a more recognizable organization. This award is reserved for the individuals who went above and beyond for their county and/or state organization in 2019.
Allied Industry: This individual is part of the bigger picture of MCA, one of our business partners. Someone that MCA can always count on for support or that has been a partner in the cattle industry over the last many years.
