Cloverhill Dairy Pasture Walk March 31
Missouri Ag Connection - 03/27/2017

University of Missouri Extension will host a pasture walk starting at 11 a.m. March 31 at Cloverhill Dairy near Mountain Grove.

The Carter family is working toward organic certification and are now six months along in the process. Tour discussion will center on the protocols in place for cow care and management, feed, and agronomic practices.

"Additionally we will have the opportunity to walk the pastures and discuss spring grazing strategies. Cows will be grazing winter annuals," said Ted Probert, diary specialist with MU Extension and host of the pasture walk.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.

To locate the Carter farm: traveling on Hwy 60 toward Mountain Grove, take the 95 Hwy exit at Mountain Grove and go north on Hwy 95 about four miles to the dairy located on the right. For GPS buffs, the address is 4198 Hwy 95, Mountain Grove.
