Graham Cave Invites Public to Spring Hike March 24
Missouri Ag Connection - 03/21/2018

Graham Cave State Park invites the public to celebrate spring's arrival by taking a welcome back Spring hike at the park on March 24. During the interpretive hike, Naturalist Lorie Volenberg will discuss what flowers are starting to bloom, their various life cycles and what roles these plants may have had with the Native Americans who once lived on these lands.

The hike will begin at the park's Lower Shelter parking lot at 1 p.m. It will follow a 0.7-mile trail of moderate difficulty and conclude by 3 p.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a camera, notepad and any flower identification books they might desire to have on the hike. Hikers are also encouraged to dress in layers, wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and to bring a bottle of water. Insect repellent is also recommended.

Graham Cave State Park is located on Highway TT, 2 miles west of Highway 161 at the 170 Exit. For more information about the event, call Graham Cave State Park at 573-564-3476.
