There were 4.8 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday. Temperatures last week averaged 49.4 degrees statewide, 0.6 degrees below normal. Precipitation averaged 0.04 inches, 0.93 inches below normal. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 3 percent short, 92 percent adequate, and 5 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 5 percent short, 90 percent adequate, and 5 percent surplus.

Corn planted was 1 percent complete, compared to the 5-year average of 2 percent.

Winter wheat condition was rated 1 percent very poor, 5 percent poor, 40 percent fair, 48 percent good, and 6 percent excellent.
