Missouri Cattle Industry Convention Begins
Missouri Ag Connection - 01/13/2020
The 52nd Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show begegan at the Holiday Inn Executive Center in Columbia. The Missouri Cattlemen's Association will welcome roughly 500 attendees to the first day of the event, which concludes Sunday,
January 12. The convention provides cattle producers with a place to learn from a variety of industry experts and the opportunity to network with other cattle farmers and ranchers. MCA President Bobby Simpson said there is still time for cattlemen to take part
in the convention and trade show this weekend.
"As cattlemen, we are a part of an ever changing industry," Simpson said. "I encourage cattle producers to stay informed and be aware of what the coming year may have in store. The Cattlemen's Education Series includes multiple tracks led by industry leaders
who are eager to share information on topics important to producers. Also, the trade show is full of exhibitors with a wide range of products and services."
Those attending the convention are not required to be a MCA member. However, non-members are encouraged to join and invest in the future of Missouri's beef cattle industry.
"The convention is open to anyone with an interest in the cattle industry," Simpson said. "We encourage non-members to join the only association solely representing the cattle industry in Missouri."
The annual convention is hosted by MCA; Missouri's Cattlemen Foundation; Missouri CattleWomen; Missouri Beef Industry Council; and the Missouri Junior Cattlemen's Association.
