Public Invited to 'Seize the Prey' at Thousand Hills
Missouri Ag Connection - 05/22/2018

Thousand Hills State Park invites the public to an educational program about birds of prey, known as raptors, 2 to 3 p.m. May 28 at the park's Point Shelter. Presented by the University of Missouri's Raptor Rehabilitation Project, the program will feature a variety of live raptors, including tiny falcons, fearsome hawks and mysterious owls.

The program is free and open to the public. Participants are asked to bring a lawn chair or towel to sit on and reusable water bottle. Cold water hydrants will be available to fill drink containers, and restrooms are located nearby. Insect repellent is recommended.

Thousand Hills State Park is located two miles west of Kirksville on Hwy. 157. For more information about this and other programs at the park, call 660-665-6995.
