NWMSU micro-creamery receives generous donation
Missouri Ag Connection - 11/20/2023

Northwest Missouri State University is planning to build a micro-creamery on its campus in Maryville, Missouri. The micro-creamery will be housed in the Agricultural Learning Center and will be used to teach students about the dairy industry.

The project is being supported by a $250,000 grant from the Missouri Agricultural and Small Business Development Authority (MASBDA). The Brods, a local couple with ties to Northwest, have also donated $25,000 to the project.

The micro-creamery will allow students to learn about all aspects of dairy production, from milking cows to processing milk into cheese, ice cream, and other dairy products. Students will also be able to learn about marketing and retail of dairy products.
