Farmers interested in learning about produce safety can attend a free workshop on February 6th, 2024, at the Yang Family Farm in Rocky Comfort, Missouri. The workshop will cover all aspects of produce safety, from field preparation to post-harvest handling.
The workshop will be led by the University of Missouri and Lincoln University produce food safety team and will feature speakers Patrick Byers and Angela Brattin. The workshop will be in English with Hmong translation provided and will take place on a diversified vegetable farm, so participants can see food safety practices in action.
A certificate of completion will be provided to each participant, which can be displayed on the farm or at a vendor stand.
