Missouri State Fair Opens Applications for 2027 Internships

By Blake Jackson

The Missouri State Fair is inviting college students to apply for its 2027 summer internship programs in Entries and Marketing.

The opportunities are designed to give students practical experience while helping them develop professional skills in agriculture, communications, event management, and fair operations.

The Entries Internship is intended primarily for students studying agriculture-related subjects, including animal science, agricultural education, agricultural business, and communications.

Interns will help manage competitive entries, communicate with exhibitors, assist livestock departments, and support activities during the fair. The position provides hands-on experience with agricultural exhibits, event coordination, and interactions with the public.

The Marketing Internship is suited for students pursuing studies in agriculture, communications, public relations, advertising, marketing, or journalism.

Participants will assist with promotional activities, social media, photography, writing, media relations, and marketing events held during the fair.

Both programs offer students an opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a professional setting, develop industry connections, and gain experience working on a major annual event.

Students interested in either position can review job details and application requirements on the Missouri State Fair's Employment page. Applications must be submitted by December 4, 2026.
