The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) will host a free educational event at Runge Nature Center on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., focusing on wildlife property management. The event will feature a presentation showcasing real-world conservation practices and how landowners can apply similar techniques on private property.
Participants will gain insights into key habitat management methods, including prescribed burning, invasive species control, oak regeneration, and the development of food plots. The session will also provide practical tools and strategies to help landowners effectively manage their property while avoiding common mistakes.
The program is open to individuals ages 16 and older, and advance registration is required at https://mdc-event-web.s3licensing.com/Event/EventDetails/218732.
