On behalf of cattlemen and cattlewomen throughout the state, Governor Mike Parson proclaimed May to be Beef Month in Missouri. Governor Parson presented the proclamation at KC Cattle Company in Parkville. Missouri Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn and members of the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association and Missouri Beef Industry Council joined the Governor for the proclamation.
“As a third-generation cattleman, it is my mission to advocate on behalf of Missouri’s farmers and ranchers, especially our hard-working beef producers,” Governor Mike Parson said. “Missouri cattlemen diligently strive to provide high quality, nutritious beef products to consumers across Missouri and nationwide. We value the opportunity to celebrate Missouri beef producers today and every day.”
“Missouri continues to rank as a national leader in beef production,” Director of Agriculture Chris Chinn said. “Cattlemen and women across the state play an important role in feeding the world, and we love highlighting that during Beef Month. Thanks to Missouri’s hard-working producers, and an abundant grass and water supply, we’re able to provide a nutritious and delicious product.”
KC Cattle Company is a veteran-owned company started by Patrick Montgomery in 2016. As a former member of 1st Ranger Battalion, Patrick looks to bring the lessons learned through his time in the military to his practices in agriculture. Specifically, he looks to raise quality beef for the very same people and communities he once served as a Ranger.
