The Northern Missouri Research, Extension and Education Center (NM-REEC) will host its annual Field Day on August 6, 2026, at the Lee Greenley Jr. Memorial Research Farm near Novelty, Missouri.
The free event is designed to provide farmers, producers, and community members with the latest agricultural research updates and practical management information.
The program will run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning with breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by field tours starting at 8 a.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn directly from university faculty and agricultural specialists through crop, livestock, and pest management sessions.
The crop tour will cover topics such as soil health, fertility research, flooding impacts on corn and soybean production, biological stimulants, cover crop management, and conservation practices.
The livestock tour will highlight virtual fencing, grazing systems, cattle reproduction technologies, and breeding decisions. Pest management discussions will focus on disease updates, fungicide strategies, weed control, and insect challenges affecting corn and soybean production.
