Missouri 4-H dairy judging team shines at All American

The Missouri 4-H Dairy Judging team had a strong performance at the 2023 All-American Invitational Youth Dairy Cattle Judging Contest, finishing seventh overall in the 13-team field.

The team of Molly Archer, Case Melzer, and Libby Shaver finished second overall in oral reasons, fourth in Jerseys, and fifth in Guernseys.

Libby Shaver, the team's top performer, finished sixth high individual overall, high individual in Jerseys, second high individual in oral reasons, and fifth in Holsteins.

Case Melzer finished sixth high individual in oral reasons and 14th high individual overall.

Missouri 4-H Dairy Judging team alumnus Whitney Yerina won the junior college division of the contest, as well as the Big E dairy judging contest the day before.

The Missouri 4-H Dairy Judging team is coached by Karla Deaver and retired MU Extension dairy specialist Ted Probert.
