Missouri Planting is Picking Up Pace

Missouri Planting is Picking Up Pace

Planting is starting quickly across Missouri. USDA says the state’s corn planting is 7% complete.

In Bates County, Brice Fischer says his corn is already planted.

“We started on March 27, planted for four to five days and then, got a little rain out and finished April 5. In the two county areas I live close to, Bates County and Vernon County, about 85% of the corn has already been planted.”

If the weather stays dry, Fischer says all the corn in the county should be planted by Friday.
