MU Extension Offers Free Workshop on ABCs of USDA

University of Missouri Extension is offering an Oct. 26 workshop to help socially disadvantaged farmers and beginning veteran farmers learn about services from U.S. Department of Agriculture agencies. Anyone interested in USDA programs is welcome to attend.

MU Extension specialist Debi Kelly says the free workshop will help attendees explore funding opportunities. "Wondering what all those USDA agencies are -- NRCS, SWCD, AMS, RD, etc. -- and what type of funding they have for farmers? The upcoming workshop explains the ABCs of USDA," says Kelly.

The workshop will be 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Hillsboro City Hall, 101 Main St., Hillsboro. A light dinner will be served.

USDA provides funding for the workshop.
