Native Forage Workshop June 23 in Truxton



The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is partnering with the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), MFA Incorporated, and the Soil and Water Conservation Society to host a native forage workshop June 23 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event will be held at Cope Farms Inc. located at 589 Highway E in Truxton.

Topics discussed during the program include Cope Farm's history, establishment of native forages, grazing cattle and sheep on native forages, calibrating drills and sprayers, cost-share programs, and more.

Water will be provided. All discussions will be held outside, so participants should dress accordingly.
