GROWMARK has announced the theme for its annual essay contest for junior high and high school members. Students are asked: 'How can ag cooperatives stay relevant to future generations?'
The contest, which is now in its 30th year, is sponsored by the GROWMARK System and FS member cooperatives, in conjunction with state FFA leaders. It is designed to help young people improve their writing skills and learn about current issues of agriculture.
Essays should be submitted online .The entry deadline for FFA students is Oct. 28.
The national winner earns a $1,000 scholarship, and their FFA Chapter will get a $750 award. Four runners-up also win $500 scholarships.
GROWMARK is a regional cooperative providing agriculture-related products and services and grain marketing in the Midwest.
