University of Missouri Extension's Woodland Steward Program and the Missouri Department of Conservation will hold a workshop on timber sale contracts and best management practices.
The program includes online and in-person components, said MU Extension natural resources specialist Sarah Havens. There will be training videos and an interactive Zoom session 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, then a tour of the Kammler Farm in Perryville 1-4 p.m. Oct. 27. The Kammlers recently harvested and sold timber and will share their experiences. Several professional foresters will be on hand to answer questions.
You may also contact Havens at 573-458-6252 or havenss@missouri.edu.
