University of Missouri Extension is offering free training on "Understanding Your Soil Needs" in Waynesville on March 19 and Owensville on April 26.
“This comprehensive in-person class will help you improve your land’s productivity,” says MU Extension agronomist Rudra Baral. “Whether you’re a farmer, gardener or landowner, you’ll gain practical knowledge and learn hands-on techniques to improve soil health and boost crop growth.”
The class will cover various topics, including soil texture and its effect on plants, soil pH and how it impacts nutrient uptake, nutrient management, proper soil sampling methods, and how to interpret soil test results.
The training will take place in Waynesville at the Pulaski County Courthouse Community Room, 301 Historic Route 66, from 1-3 p.m. on March 19. To register, visit this link or call 573-774-4766.
