Missouri biodiesel coalition launches new program

By Blake Jackson

The Biodiesel Coalition of Missouri (BCM) is launching a new program to encourage county and municipal fleets to use biodiesel. The Biodiesel Fleet Credit Program will provide a 25 cents/gallon credit to fleets that use biodiesel blends of B6 or higher.

Biodiesel is a domestically produced, cleaner-burning fuel that can be used in place of petroleum diesel. It has numerous benefits for fleets, including improved fuel efficiency, reduced emissions, and extended engine life.

The BCM hopes that the Biodiesel Fleet Credit Program will help to reduce emissions from vehicles and improve air quality in Missouri. The program is also designed to support the local economy by creating jobs and demand for Missouri-grown crops.

Fleets can learn more about the Biodiesel Fleet Credit Program. Learn more online at missouribiodiesel.org.
