Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) has recognized 87 members of the Missouri House of Representatives with its 2026 Friends of Agriculture Award, an honor presented every two years since 1996 to lawmakers who have demonstrated strong support for the state's agricultural community.
Recipients are nominated by their local county Farm Bureau boards and must maintain a voting record that reflects support for agriculture during the previous two legislative sessions.
The award recognizes legislators who have championed issues important to Missouri farmers and ranchers both in their districts and at the state Capitol.
“Missouri agriculture depends on leaders who understand the challenges facing farmers and ranchers and are willing to stand up for them,” said MOFB President Garrett Hawkins.
“These legislators have demonstrated their commitment through their actions and their votes, and we appreciate their partnership in advancing policies that strengthen agriculture and benefit communities across our state,” Hawkins added.
The Friends of Agriculture Award highlights the importance of legislative support in advancing policies that promote a strong agricultural sector, rural economic growth, and the long-term success of Missouri farming operations.
