Missouri Honors Junior Cattle Exhibitors



During the 55th Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention & Trade Show, junior beef cattle exhibitors were recognized for their hard work and success in the show ring. These junior showmen exhibited cattle at four shows sponsored by the Missouri Cattlemen's Association. Points based on class placings were accumulated during 2022, and the top exhibitors received prizes during the convention.

The top five heifers were exhibited by Lawson Nieder, Amoret; Paisley Nelson, Platte City; Ryleigh Morris, Ash Grove; Avery Schroeder, Miami; and Mallarie Yokley, Moundville.

Overall heifers in each breed were awarded as follows: Angus – Rance Wheeler, Paris; Charolais – Kohen Garrison, Boss; Charolais Composite – Lawson Nieder, Amoret; Chianina – Azlann Buck, Marshall; Crossbred – Paisley Nelson, Platte City; Foundation Simmental – Wyatt Tyre, Slater; Gelbvieh & Balancer – Jarrett Phillips, Cole Camp; Hereford – Madelyn Thompson, Amity; Limousin – Ryleigh Morris, Ash Grove; Maine Anjou – Frank Hazelrigg, Columbia; MaineTainer – Emmie Patek, High Point; Red Angus – Charlie Tyre, Slater; Salers – Saydi Hagedorn, Stover; Shorthorn – Murphy Fahrmeier, Lexington; Shorthorn Plus – Avery Schroeder, Miami; and Simmental – Mallarie Yokley, Moundville.

The top five market animals were exhibited by Atley Patrick, Chilhowee; Nolan Dehn, Dearborn; Grant Ward, Oak Grove; Aubrie Burton, Chillicothe; and Paisley Nelson, Platte City.

Overall market animals in each breed were awarded as follows: Angus – Atley Patrick, Chilhowee; Charolais – Mikaela Rojas, New Boston; Charolais Composite – Eli Dehan, LaMonte; Chianina – Avery Schroeder, Miami; Crossbred – Nolan Dehn, Dearborn; Hereford – Grant Ward, Oak Grove; Limousin – Chelsea Pinnell, Cuba; Maine Anjou – Lawson Nieder, Amoret; Maintainer – Bryce Williams, Rhineland; Market Heifers – Aubrie Burton, Chillicothe; Red Angus – Brett Sartin, Strafford; Salers – Mattie Mckee, Thayer; Shorthorn – Brendan Krumme, Neosho; Shorthorn Plus – Kylee Dameron, Silex; and Simmental – Paisley Nelson, Platte City.
