The Cass County Extension Office will host an informative agricultural program on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Harrisonville Community Center, located at 2400 S. Jefferson Parkway, Harrisonville, MO 64701. The event is free of charge, and lunch will be provided.
Participants will gain valuable insights on the 2026 market outlook for corn, soybean, and beef cattle, helping producers make informed decisions for the upcoming season. The program will also feature a Missouri Corn Growers update on agricultural issues and policy, offering perspectives on industry trends and legislative developments affecting local farmers.
Additional sessions will cover crop selection and agronomic considerations to optimize production, as well as a presentation on Theileria orientalis ikeda, an emerging cattle disease that poses a growing concern for livestock health.
Producers and interested individuals are encouraged to attend and register by calling the Cass County Extension Office at 816-380-8460 or emailing cassco@missouri.edu. This program provides a unique opportunity to stay informed and connect with experts in the agricultural community.
