Enter Missouri’s 2026 Farm Dog of the Year Contest

By Blake Jackson

Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) is now accepting entries for the 2026 Farm Dog of the Year contest, presented in partnership with Diamond Pet Foods.

For the fourth consecutive year, MOFB is honoring the hard work and dedication of farm dogs, highlighting the vital role they play in helping farmers and ranchers produce healthy food for families and pets across Missouri.

The grand-prize winner will receive a one-year supply of Diamond dog food and will be formally recognized at the MOFB Annual Meeting in December 2025.

MOFB is looking for farm dogs that demonstrate helpfulness to their owner and family, as well as traits like obedience, loyalty, and a playful nature. Entries must include written responses to contest questions, at least one photo, and may include a short video showcasing the dog’s skills and personality.

All submissions must be received by September 30, 2025, to be considered. Only MOFB members are eligible to enter their dogs in the competition. Those who are not yet members can learn more about joining by visiting mofb.org/join.

For full eligibility rules, submission details, and tips for entering, visit mofb.org/farmdog. The contest provides a fun and meaningful way to celebrate farm dogs and the invaluable support they give to Missouri agriculture.
