Dairy producers in Wright County and the surrounding areas are invited to attend the first South Central Dairymen’s meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025.
The event will take place at the Mountain Grove Extension Office, located at 608 E State Street, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
These meetings will serve as an opportunity for dairy farmers to explore various management strategies, advancements in technology, and current research within the industry.
Attendees will also participate in roundtable discussions designed to foster idea-sharing and networking among producers.
The focus of this inaugural meeting will be calf care, a critical aspect of dairy farming. Participants will receive a copy of the Calf Care Quality Assurance (CCQA) manual, though this session will not serve as a formal CCQA training.
Instead, an informative presentation will be provided to enhance understanding and best practices in calf management.
Dairy producers interested in attending should register by March 24, 2025, to receive a handbook. Registration is still available after this date; however, handbooks will not be guaranteed. To sign up, call the Wright County Extension Office at (417) 349-4134 or register online.
