Discover the vibrant world of agriculture and horticulture at the 3rd Annual Clinton County Small Farm Day, taking place on June 29, 2024, from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the Clinton County 4-H Youth Building in Plattsburg, MO. This event promises a wealth of learning opportunities for farmers, enthusiasts, and curious minds alike.

Hosted by the Clinton County Extension Council, Small Farm Day features a diverse lineup of presentations by MU Extension Field Specialists and local experts.

Participants can delve into topics such as Meat Goats & Sheep with Jim Humphrey, Dairy Goats with Margaret Chamas, and Beekeeping with Trevor Angle, a seasoned beekeeper from Lathrop.

Todd Higgins, an MU Extension Field Specialist in Horticulture, will explore Plants that Bees and Butterflies Love, offering valuable insights for gardeners and conservationists.

Throughout the afternoon, attendees can freely attend sessions of interest or join tours of the new horticulture grow barn conducted by the Clinton County Master Gardeners, led by Rick Tharp. This interactive format allows flexibility for attendees to tailor their experience based on their specific interests.

Registration for the event is encouraged but not mandatory, and there is no cost to attend, thanks to the sponsorship of the Clinton County Extension Council.

Whether you're a seasoned farmer, a beginner exploring backyard chickens, or someone passionate about sustainable agriculture, the Small Farm Day promises a day filled with education, networking, and community engagement in the scenic backdrop of Plattsburg, MO.

Mark your calendars and join us for an enriching day celebrating agriculture and horticulture in Clinton County.
