The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) invites the public to learn proper pond management techniques at several workshops. These workshops will cover pond construction, fish stocking, proper fisheries management, aquatic plant management, and the types of wildlife that may use a pond.
There are four separate workshops that are free to the public. The dates, times, and locations of the workshops are as follows:
- March 22 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Callaway Electric Cooperative in Fulton. Registration for this event is required and can be done. Any questions can be directed to the instructor Scott Voney at scott.voney@mdc.mo.gov.
- March 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Stover High School. Registration for this event is required and can be done at https://short.mdc.mo.gov/4fn. Any questions can be directed to the instructor Scott Williams at scott.williams@mdc.mo.gov.
- March 28 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Owensville VFW Hall in Owensville. Registration for this event is required and can be done at https://short.mdc.mo.gov/4fW. Any questions can be directed to the instructor Scott Williams at scott.williams@mdc.mo.gov.
- March 29 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Missouri Valley College – Charles L. Bacon Room. Registration for this event is required and can be done. Any questions can be directed to the instructor Scott Voney at scott.voney@mdc.mo.gov.
Snacks and drinks will be provided at each workshop.
