The Missouri Department of Agriculture has chosen 30 high school sophomores for the 2025 Missouri Agribusiness Academy (MAbA). This program provides students with the opportunity to explore careers in agriculture, develop leadership skills, and gain insights into farming, ranching, and food production.
Participants will spend a week in June in Kansas City, where they will engage in hands-on learning experiences and network with professionals in the agriculture industry. Over the years, the program has helped students build a strong foundation for future careers in agriculture. Since its establishment in 1988, MAbA has provided over 1,000 students with valuable opportunities through a competitive selection process.
In addition to the summer program, selected students will take part in activities throughout the year. These include events at the Missouri State Fair, a Legislative Day in the winter, and a graduation ceremony at the Missouri FFA Convention in 2026.
The Missouri Agribusiness Academy aims to inspire and support young individuals interested in agriculture, ensuring they gain the knowledge and skills needed to contribute to the industry in the future.
