MCA Honors Junior Cattle Exhibitors



During the 53rd Annual Missouri Cattle Industry Convention and Trade Show over the weekend, junior beef cattle exhibitors were recognized for their hard work and success in the show ring. These junior showmen exhibited cattle at four shows sponsored by the Missouri Cattlemen's Association. Points based on class placings were accumulated during 2020 and the top exhibitors received prizes during the convention.

The top five heifers were exhibited by Olivia Gerloff, Bland; Paisley Nelson, Platte City; Lucas Crutcher, Fair Grove; Ryleigh Morris, Ash Grove; and Hailey Eads, Trenton.

Overall heifers in each breed were awarded as follows: Angus, both Ciara Raithel and Alexis Koelling; Charolais, Lucas Crutcher; Charolais Composite, Kallen Garrison; Crossbred, Lilly Stedem; Foundation Simmental, Olivia Gerloff; Hereford, Cade Shepherd; Limousin, Ryleigh Morris; Maine Anjou, Lucas Leefers; Mainetainer, Lucas Leefers; Red Angus, Ryleigh Morris; Shorthorn, Kinleigh Bolin; Shorthorn Plus, Hailey Eads; and Simmental, Paisley Nelson.

The top five market animals were exhibited by Samuel Jordan, Savannah; Isabela Rojas, New Boston; Hailey Eads, Trenton; Faith Williams, Rhineland; and Aubrey Youse, Paris

Overall market animals in each breed were awarded as follows: Angus, Samuel Jordan; Charolais, Brett Benefiel; Charolais Composite, Grady Woodcock; Crossbred, Gage Baker; Foundation Simmental, Hailey Eads; Hereford, Isabela Rojas; Limousin, Payton Heman; Maine Anjou, Aubrey Youse; Mainetainer, Abby Dittmer; Market Heifer, Avery Schroeder; Red Angus, Jadyn Lower; Shorthorn, Faith Williams; Shorthorn Plus, Lea Simmons; and Simmental, Trista McDannald.
