Missouri Corn is accepting applications for the 16th CornRoots Leadership Academy, a program designed to develop future leaders and advocates within Missouri’s corn industry.
The academy provides leadership training for growers and agribusiness professionals interested in strengthening their communication, advocacy, and policy engagement skills.
Participants will take part in three educational sessions focused on leadership development, grassroots advocacy, public speaking, and effective communication with elected officials. The program is intended for individuals involved in production agriculture who want to become more active in industry leadership and public policy discussions.
Applicants must be willing to actively participate in discussions, communicate regularly by email and phone, attend all scheduled sessions, and engage with family, friends, neighbors, and industry partners in grassroots efforts.
The first session is scheduled for December 8-10, 2026, followed by a second session during the Missouri Corn Growers Association Annual Meeting on January 26-27, 2027. The final session will take place in Washington, D.C., July 12-15, 2027, providing participants with opportunities to learn about agricultural policy and meet with elected officials.
Topics covered include corn industry issues, agricultural policy updates, grassroots training, and advocacy strategies. Applications must be submitted by October 30, 2026. Additional information and application materials are available at mocorn.org/advocacy/.
