Missouri Row Crop Harvests on Target with Averages



There were 6.2 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending Sunday. Temperatures last week averaged 46.3 degrees statewide, 2.1 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 0.14 inches, 0.76 inches below normal. Topsoil moisture supply was rated 1 percent very short, 6 percent short, 90 percent adequate, and 3 percent surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 1 percent very short, 12 percent short, 86 percent adequate, and 1 percent surplus.

Corn harvested for grain was 97 percent complete, compared to the 5-year average of 96 percent.

Soybeans harvested was 90 percent complete, even with the 5-year average.

Cotton harvested was 94 percent complete, even with the 5-year average.

Winter wheat planted was 92 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 90 percent. Winter wheat emerged was 80 percent, compared to the 5-year average of 75 percent. Winter wheat condition was rated 4 percent poor, 33 percent fair, 57 percent good, and 6 percent excellent.
