The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is hosting a free Healthy Woods Landowner Workshop on Saturday, April 25, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Bless Park off Highway JJ in Weston.
The event is designed for landowners and land managers interested in improving the health and productivity of their woodlands by controlling invasive plant species.
Attendees will learn how to identify common invasive plants found in Missouri and explore practical, easy-to-apply treatment methods. The workshop will also cover strategies to enhance forest health, increase property value, and support better wildlife habitat.
The program will begin with demonstrations at Bless Park and continue with a visit to a nearby private forest. There, participants will hear firsthand from a landowner about using cost-share programs to manage woodland effectively.
Space is limited and advance registration is required to attend this free educational event.
