The Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) has chosen its champions for 2024! Madison Meyer of Dearborn and Caleb Simpson of Bolivar were named the official MOFB Ambassadors, ready to passionately represent agriculture and the organization throughout the year.
Selected from a pool of 17 impressive applicants, Meyer and Simpson impressed judges with their deep knowledge of agriculture, commitment to advocacy, and potential for leadership. Each receives a $2,500 educational scholarship and embarks on a year of exciting experiences.
Meyer, a sophomore agriculture student at the University of Missouri, brings a third-generation farm heritage to the table. She envisions a career as an agronomist and is actively involved in collegiate organizations like the UMC College of Agriculture Leadership Team and Veritas ministry.
Simpson, a first-year student at Mizzou, juggles his studies by helping his family's century farm and running his own hay business. Aspiring to a career in agricultural policy, he aims to work in Washington D.C. before returning to Missouri to establish his own law practice. He remains active in FFA and contributes to the Polk County Farm Bureau and Cattlemen's Association.
Throughout their term, Meyer and Simpson will represent MOFB at key events, including a legislative trip to Washington, D.C., and the Missouri State Fair. They'll engage with stakeholders, share their passion for agriculture, and advocate for policies supporting Missouri's farm families.
The MOFB Ambassador program, sponsored by the Promotion and Education Committee, seeks to empower young leaders like Meyer and Simpson to become champions for agriculture's future. With their dedication, energy, and bright minds, they're sure to make a lasting impact!
