Old chemicals are a liability for everyone. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR) plans to take the hassle out of pesticide disposable by hosting four waste pesticide collection events in 2023. Collection is open to producers and homeowners.
Events will occur at:
- March 25, 8 a.m.-noon, Jamestown Agri Service, Inc., 317 W. Row St.
- April 15, 8 a.m.-noon, Orscheln Farm and Home, 710 South Main St., Brookfield
- May 13, 8 a.m.-noon, Rocking W Farm and Home. 39216 State Highway 413, Crane
- Sept. 16, 8 a.m.-noon, Mordt Tractor and Equipment Company, 131 State Highway H, Troy
DNR will accept fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, rodenticide, fertilizers containing pesticides, de-wormers and fly-tags from Missouri farmers or households. They ask that you call before bringing bulk containers.
