Schreiber Foods invest $211M in Carthage, Missouri

By Blake Jackson

Schreiber Foods has announced a significant investment in its Carthage, Missouri plant, with the construction of a new 168,000-square-foot production facility. This expansion will enhance the company’s process-cheese operations and meet the rising demand for its products in the U.S. The $211 million investment is expected to create 150 new jobs, further supporting the local economy.

“We’re thrilled to continue our growth in Carthage,” said Ron Dunford, President & CEO of Schreiber. “This expansion underscores our commitment to innovation, quality, our customers and the Carthage community, as we work to do good through food in everything we do.”

“Carthage appreciates Schreiber Foods’ continued investment into our community with this new production facility and the employee growth that comes with it,” said Jeff Meredith, Chief Executive Officer of the Carthage Economic Development Corporation. “We’re excited to partner with Schreiber Foods as we work together to grow the local economy and help provide quality jobs for the community.”

Schreiber Foods, a North American leader in cream cheese, natural cheese, process cheese, beverages, and yogurt, will begin construction in January 2025, with the project expected to be completed by 2027.
