Boost Crop Yields at Practical Gardening Workshop

Boost Crop Yields at Practical Gardening Workshop

By Blake Jackson

A Practical Home Gardening Workshop is scheduled for May 19, 2026, offering gardeners valuable insights into extending the growing season and improving crop productivity. Hosted at the Dade County MU Extension Center, the session will run from 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. IST.

This workshop will introduce participants to the use of high and low tunnels, two effective structures that help protect plants from harsh weather while promoting better growth conditions.

Attendees will learn why season extension is important, especially for maximizing yields and maintaining a steady supply of fresh produce.

The session will also highlight the advantages of each structure and provide practical guidance on how to begin using them at home. Whether you are new to gardening or looking to enhance your current setup, the workshop aims to offer useful, hands-on knowledge.
