The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) recently celebrated outstanding staff members who have gone above and beyond in their roles. During the “Squeeze the Day” Staff Appreciation Week lunch, CAFNR Vice Chancellor and Dean Christopher Daubert presented the prestigious CAFNR Driver to Distinction award to six exceptional staff members.
This award is given to individuals who make a significant impact on the CAFNR community by showing dedication, leadership, and a drive to create the best possible experience for students, faculty, and fellow staff.
The 2024 award recipients are:
- Jennifer Anderson, Director of the Accelerated Coordinated Master’s Program in Dietetics, is known for her commitment to guiding future health professionals.
- Monica Curry, Senior Business Support Specialist in Animal Sciences, recognized for her reliable and resourceful support in departmental operations.
- Stephen Evans, Manager of Buck’s Ice Cream, celebrated for enhancing campus life through service and innovation.
- Grace Meers, Director of Lab Operations at NextGen Precision Health, acknowledged for her leadership and efficiency in managing high-level research labs.
- Maggie Penniston, Senior Research Specialist in Animal Sciences, honored for her valuable contributions to agricultural research.
- Taylor Ann Washburn, Program Director at the Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center (RaFF), praised for advancing rural and farm financial insights and policy.
These staff members have demonstrated exceptional service and continue to shape the success of the CAFNR community. By recognizing their efforts, CAFNR promotes a culture of appreciation, excellence, and growth across its departments.
