CLAAS of America is expanding its presence in the Northern Plains by introducing new dealership locations in partnership with genAG, a recognized dealer group from Canada. These new facilities will serve agricultural producers in South Dakota and North Dakota, helping improve access to equipment, service, and technical support.
"These new dealerships represent an important investment for CLAAS customers and is a commitment to agriculture in the Dakotas," said Torey Hadland, Vice President, CLAAS of America.
"As one of the leading CLAAS dealerships in neighboring Manitoba, genAG brings a strong focus on customer service and technical expertise to the Dakotas, and these locations will ensure farmers in this region have reliable access to the full CLAAS lineup and the support they need when it matters most," said Torey Hadland.
The first dealership will open in Aberdeen, South Dakota, followed by a second location in Minot, North Dakota. A third support facility is planned near Bismarck to provide additional service and parts assistance to customers in the surrounding region.
These locations will offer a full range of CLAAS machinery, including combines, tractors, forage harvesters, balers, and hay equipment, along with advanced digital tools.
Each dealership will be equipped with skilled technicians and mobile service units. This setup will help reduce downtime and ensure that farmers receive timely support during critical planting and harvesting periods. The expansion also aims to simplify customer access to parts and services by bringing support closer to farms.
"Our goal is to make it easier for customers to do business with CLAAS," said Christoph Tetzlaff, Vice President of Dealer & Network Development, Americas, at CLAAS of America. "By expanding our dealer footprint with strong partners like genAg, we're improving parts availability, shortening response times and bringing high-quality service closer to the farm."
This move is especially important as adjustments occur within the existing dealer network. With one dealer preparing to exit by the end of 2026, CLAAS is taking steps to maintain continuity and strengthen its service structure. By working with experienced partners, the company is focused on improving efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Beyond the Dakotas, CLAAS continues to invest in other regions. A FARMPOINT facility in Fort Dodge, Iowa, is now fully active for the 2026 season, supporting local producers. In Minnesota, an established dealer has expanded its parts inventory to better serve to combine users in important grain-growing areas.
"We are proud to invest in Alberta Ag Centre and to help ensure that farmers across southern and central Alberta continue receiving the exceptional service and support they deserve," said Mackenzie Duke, President and CEO, Derek Stimson Holdings Ltd.
"Our priority is stability, continuity and strengthening the CLAAS dealership's ability to serve its customers for decades to come," said Mackenzie Duke.
As development progresses, CLAAS and its partners will share further details regarding new locations, staffing, and customer transition plans, ensuring farmers remain well-supported.
