Cultivating Success: Empowering Women in Agriculture with Chris Chinn

Chris Chinn, the director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture and a fifth-generation farmer, will be the featured speaker at an upcoming Women in Agriculture workshop.

Hosted at the First Baptist Church of Ewing in Lewis County, Missouri, this event aims to provide women in agriculture with valuable insights and resources. Alongside Chinn, prominent ag professionals from northeastern Missouri and Illinois will share their expertise.

Attendees can expect a diverse range of topics, including sessions on candle making, fall gardening, tree care, goat farming, and soil health. The workshop, organized by MU Extension, FCS Financial, and the Lewis County Soil and Water Conservation District, offers both in-person and Zoom attendance options. With a combination of educational sessions and enjoyable activities, this event aims to empower women in making informed decisions about farm and home management.

Registration is free and includes lunch. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with industry experts and fellow women in agriculture by visiting the event's website or contacting Brenda Schreck at schreckb@missouri.edu or 573-767-5273.
