By Blake Jackson

The University of Missouri's Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI-MU) will host the 2025 Abner W. Womack Missouri Agriculture Outlook Conference on April 9 at the MU Bradford Research Farm in Columbia.

This 11th annual conference will provide insights into row crop and livestock markets, agricultural policy impacts, and U.S. trade policy implications, according to Ben Brown, FAPRI-MU senior research associate.

Patrick Westhoff, director of FAPRI-MU, will be honored and deliver the keynote address on U.S. agricultural policy updates.

Key highlights include FAPRI-MU's baseline outlooks for agricultural production, farm prices, farm income, and government costs, crucial for informing Congress. Discussions will cover recent policy changes and their effects on the agricultural sector.

The Rural and Farm Finance Policy Analysis Center at MU and the Agricultural and Food Policy Center at Texas A&M will present research on farm income and financial health.

A panel discussion with FAPRI partners will explore the potential impacts of U.S. trade policy changes on trade flows and commodity markets.

The event will be held at the MU Bradford Research Farm Poehlmann Educational Center. Check-in and networking begin at 8:30 a.m., with the program starting at 9 a.m.
