The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) is offering a opportunity for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts to experience deer hunting without leaving the room. The Aim Smart: Deer Hunting Simulator Experience will take place on Saturday, January 17, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center in Blue Springs.
This hands-on program uses a deer hunting simulator to provide a realistic hunting experience without the use of live firearms. It is designed for both teens and adults, offering a safe and engaging way to learn the fundamentals of hunting, marksmanship, and wildlife conservation.
Participants will gain practical knowledge on ethical hunting practices while improving their accuracy and decision-making skills in a controlled environment.
The event is free to attend, but space is limited, so advanced registration is required. Interested individuals can sign up online at MDC Event Registration. For questions, participants may contact MDC Naturalist Nikki King via email at Nikki.King@mdc.mo.gov.
The Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center, the venue for this event, is located at 1401 NW Park Road in Blue Springs.
