As the new fiscal year begins, the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council (MCMC) and the Missouri Corn Growers Association (MCGA) have announced their newly appointed officers, alongside the election of new board members and national committee assignments.
During an August board meeting in Branson, the 2024-25 officer team for the MCMC was elected, with the following individuals stepping into their roles on October 1:
- Chairman: Brian Lehman, Versailles, District 5
- Vice Chairman: Dylan Rosier, Mound City, District 1
- Secretary: Brandon Thiel, Marshall, District 5
- Treasurer: Ryan Meyerkorth, Rock Port, District 1
Additionally, the MCGA elected its officers for the 2024-25 term:
- President: Matt Lambert, Laclede, District 2
- Vice President: Patrick Seyer, Oran, District 7
- Secretary/Treasurer: Adam Casner, Carrollton, District 2
Recently elected MCMC board members Addie Yoder from Leonard and Will Hunter from Sikeston have also assumed their positions as of October 1.
Yoder takes over from Brent Hoerr of Palmyra, while Hunter succeeds Clint Stephens of Advance. Both are set to be nominated for the MCGA board during the annual meeting in January.
The MCMC collaborates with the U.S. Grains Council (USGC) to enhance the market value of corn, ethanol, and distillers grains through robust international exports.
Members of the MCMC will participate in various USGC advisory teams for 2024-25, including positions held by Meyerkorth, Casner, and Lehman.
Moreover, several Missouri Corn leaders contribute their expertise to National Corn Growers Association (NCGA) action teams, tackling issues related to risk management, biofuels, research, and sustainability.
Established in 1984, the MCMC board consists of 14 elected corn growers dedicated to promoting market development, research, and education in the corn industry.
The grassroots MCGA organization works to enhance the profitability of corn production through effective policies and active political engagement.
