Winter care tips for sheep and goats

By Blake Jackson

Lincoln University’s Small Ruminant Program, supported by NCR-SARE and USDA, is offering a free weekly webinar series focused on caring for sheep and goats during the winter months.

This educational series is designed to equip small ruminant farmers with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively manage their animals in colder conditions.

The webinars will take place Monday from 3:30 AM to 4:30 AM IST, starting January 6, 2025. Participants who complete all 12 sessions will receive a certification of completion.

For those unable to attend the live sessions, recorded webinars will be available on the Lincoln University Cooperative Extension YouTube channel.

The series will be led by experienced Extension Specialists, Lincoln University faculty, industry consultants, and field experts.

These professionals will share practical insights and proven strategies to help farmers maintain animal health and productivity throughout the winter season.

This webinar series is ideal for farmers looking to improve their winter management practices and gain valuable resources.
