The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) has recently been awarded the Power of Associations Silver Award by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), marking the third consecutive year the organization has been recognized. This prestigious award was given to AFBF for its innovative Collegiate Farm Bureau Mini-Grant Program.
The program, which provides $500 grants to student chapters, plays a significant role in supporting initiatives like recruitment, leadership development, community service, officer training, educational materials, and conference participation. By offering these grants, AFBF is enhancing the leadership skills of students involved in agriculture and fostering stronger connections within the agricultural community.
The Power of Associations Awards celebrate associations that make a broader impact beyond their core missions. ASAE recognized AFBF for its ability to leverage its resources effectively, strengthening over 120 Collegiate Farm Bureau chapters across the U.S. This initiative plays a critical role in advancing the agricultural industry and positively impacting lives nationwide.
This recognition follows AFBF's previous achievements, including the 2023 Summit Award for its Harvest for All Program and the 2024 Silver Award for the Social Media Ambassador Program. These honors highlight the organization's ongoing commitment to supporting agricultural education and community engagement.
The Collegiate Farm Bureau Mini-Grant Program continues to empower students to lead and make meaningful contributions to their local agricultural communities, reflecting the core values of the American Farm Bureau Federation.
