At the 109th annual meeting of the Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) on December 5, Brian Koenig, a self-employed farmer and owner of Perryville Pumpkin Farm, secured a two-year term on the MOFB Board of Directors. Representing District 6, encompassing the southeast part of Missouri, Koenig succeeds Barry Bean, who completed an eight-year tenure, reaching his term limit in December 2023.
Currently serving as the President of the Perry County Farm Bureau, Koenig brings a wealth of experience, having previously contributed to the MOFB Agritourism Committee and the MOFB State Resolutions Committee. His farm specializes in row crops and agritourism, offering farm experiences, agricultural education, and a diverse array of pumpkins to numerous families and students every September and October at the Perryville Pumpkin Farm.
Beyond his agricultural roles, Koenig is a district delegate with MFA Oil, an active member of the FCS Financial advisory board, and participates in the Perry County pork producers. Family-oriented, he and his wife, Dianna, have three sons – Tyson, Jarod, and Ryan – and three grandchildren, underscoring his commitment to both agriculture and community.
