The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded the city of Dexter a $50,000 Clean Water Engineering Report Grant to evaluate their wastewater system. The grant aims to support communities in covering engineering costs for assessing water and wastewater system improvements.
Dexter will utilize the funds to identify necessary wastewater system improvements that will not only meet permit requirements but also ensure reliable service to the area. The facility plan is expected to be completed by January 2025.
Dru Buntin emphasizes the significance of grants for communities like Dexter to assess and maintain water and wastewater treatment systems, enabling essential services, infrastructure improvements, and economic benefits.
