Spanning from August to October, these events offer an opportunity for producers and the public to gain insights and stay updated on the latest findings.
The Extension and Education Center field days will kick off on Tuesday, August 22, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new building at Graves-Chapple Center near Rock Port. On Thursday, September 7, the Farm, Field, and Family Day at Hundley-Whaley Center in Albany will treat attendees to a steak dinner while providing valuable agricultural information. The Producer Field Day at Wurdack Center in Cook Station on Friday, October 6, will focus on alternative forages and planning for drought, offering practical solutions for farmers.
Research, Extension, and Education Centers will host their own field days. The Northern Missouri REEC Field Day on Thursday, August 3, at Lee Greenley Jr. Memorial Farm near Novelty will feature interactive farm tours, crop discussions, pest management insights, and a complimentary breakfast. The MU Ag Research Expo at Fisher Delta Center in Portageville on Wednesday, August 30, will offer hands-on discussions with research faculty, agricultural drone demonstrations, and a self-guided tour of research fields. The CAFNR Showcase at South Farm in Columbia on Saturday, September 30, promises an exciting family-friendly event with various activities and exhibits.
Southwest REEC and Central Missouri REEC will host Career Exploration Days, providing high school students with the opportunity to explore agricultural career paths and engage with experts in the field.
