Farm bureau backs Hawley reelection bid in Missouri

By Blake Jackson

The Missouri Farm Bureau (MOFB) Political Action Committee (PAC) officially endorsed Josh Hawley for his 2024 reelection campaign for the United States Senate. MOFB President, Garrett Hawkins, expressed strong support for Hawley, emphasizing the senator's unwavering advocacy for rural Missourians in Washington, D.C. Hawkins commended Hawley's commitment to fighting against burdensome regulations and promoting policies prioritizing property rights.

Having initially received Farm Bureau's endorsement during his successful 2018 U.S. Senate campaign, Hawley has consistently championed key areas vital to Missouri's farmers and ranchers. His focus includes regulatory resistance and fostering small business growth. Currently serving on the Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Hawley actively contributes to sustaining family farms and encouraging young farmers and ranchers to uphold generational traditions.

Additionally, as a member of the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, Hawley staunchly defends landowners' rights amid challenging green energy initiatives.

Hawley's past endorsement by Farm Bureau in his 2016 campaign for Missouri attorney general further underscores the enduring partnership between the senator and the agricultural community.

The MOFB PAC, comprising trustees selected by county Farm Bureau organizations, looks forward to collaborating with Hawley in the coming years to advance the interests of Missouri's farming and ranching communities. To learn more about the MOFB PAC, visit our website.
