Missouri 4-H'ers Compete at Western National Roundup



Eight Missouri 4-H members competed at the 2023 Western National Roundup, an annual event held in tandem with the Western National Stock Show in Denver. FFA and 4-H members from 27 states competed in various categories and project areas during the four-day event.

This year, Andrew Shelton of Barton County and Katy Wright of Clay County competed in prepared and impromptu speaking. Shelton placed second overall in impromptu speaking and Wright placed third overall in prepared speaking.

Rebekah Papasifakis, Johnson County, and Drake Ellison, Lafayette County, competed in the Fashion Revue, with Papasifakis placing fifth in the constructed garment category.

Delaney Davies, Gage Swindler and Rebecca Hunt of Caldwell County and Jorja Ebert of Clinton County competed as a team in livestock judging, placing 21st overall.

Missouri 4-H members chosen to compete at the Western National Roundup were selected from Missouri 4-H’s 2022 state competitions.
