Precision Conservation Management (PCM), in collaboration with the Missouri Corn Merchandising Council (MCMC), is expanding its services to north central Missouri.
This growth presents new possibilities for corn producers to enhance their profitability while incorporating proven conservation strategies that benefit soil health and protect water resources.
PCM offers enrolled farmers no-cost technical support, customized data evaluations, and guidance in accessing conservation incentive programs. These programs help reduce the financial uncertainty that can come with changing field practices.
With current commodity price challenges, PCM’s data-driven approach also aids farmers in identifying the most financially beneficial conservation practices for their operations.
“Missouri Corn welcomes this opportunity to connect corn farmers with a program to further improve production practices. Corn farmers consistently strive to provide an abundant supply of high-quality food, feed, and renewable energy," says MCMC Chairman Brian Lehman.
"The expansion of PCM into Missouri will offer farmers field-level financial analysis of conservation practice adoption while creating a more environmentally and economically sustainable world for future generations.”
To assist local producers, PCM has appointed Landon Anderson as the new conservation specialist for the region. Anderson brings expertise in agronomy, crop advising, and agricultural development.
Anderson holds a degree in Agricultural Science from Truman State University and a master’s in Agronomy from Iowa State University. Before joining PCM, he served farmers in a variety of agricultural roles.
“I’m excited to help Missouri farmers identify conservation practices that improve both their bottom line and the long-term health of their land,” said Anderson. “I view agronomy as a blend of science and real-world application, and I believe PCM’s unique data insights will make a real difference for farmers in this region.”
